Maca Hot Chocolate – THE HOLISTIC INGREDIENT
PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES
COOK TIME: 5 MINUTES
1 1/2 cup almond or sesame mylk
1/2 cup coconut milk, canned or fresh
3 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp maca powder
1 tsp rice malt syrup (or sweetener of choice)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla powder or essence
Pinch sea salt
Cacao nibs, to garnish
Place all ingredients except for the cacao nibs into a small saucepan over medium heat.
Gradually heat the liquid to a gentle simmer for 4-5 minutes. Do not allow the liquid to boil.
Remove from heat and pour into two mugs. Garnish generously with cacao nibs.
*Tip: If you find this hot chocolate is too rich for your liking, simply add 1/2 cup of water to the saucepan.
