The MNB team love tea so much, that we decided to make our signature blend! A blend that represents what we think tea should be all about…
The MNB Tea
The feel: enlightenment and illumination
The purpose: the search for beauty and peace in our hectic world
The tea: hibiscus, rose & orange green tea
The blend: green tea, chamomile, hibiscus flowers, orange peel & rose petals
We couldn’t think of a better base for our MNB blend. Green tea boasts to be one of the most medicinal and beneficial teas available in the world. It’s no surprise, the green leaf contains theanine, an amino acid that is proven to reduce stress and improve brainpower. Green tea is our dear friend on a daily basis because it decreases depression and boosts mood. It contains a powerhouse of antioxidants and a host of benefits: weight loss, stress lowering, antiviral, decreases arthritis, lowers blood pressure, loaded with polyphenols, flavonoids which function as superior antioxidants and boosts metabolism.
Chamomile is the big warm hug to our MNB blend because it has the ability to benefit your body, mind and spirit. It’s both a relaxant and anti anxiety agent. Chamomile has even been proven to assist with a healthy heart. If you feel anxious, stressed or depressed, you may find relief in this soothing herb as Chamomile has the ability to nurture and heal us mentally and physically. Feel any anxiety melt away as you sip our MNB blend, it’s the all round comforter.
When your body is stressed, your blood pressure goes up. Hibiscus is a natural way to lower this and help promote relaxation. Ahhhh. Take a sip and sit back. Hibiscus maintains cholesterol levels compared to black tea drinkers and also blood sugar levels. This pink flower contains high levels of antioxidants, which are an essential part of our diets. They help to rid our bodies of destructive molecules that can damage our cells and DNA (free radicals) and protect us against chronic disease. By choosing foods and drinks that are high in antioxidants like hibiscus tea, you can help reverse many inflammatory processes in your body such as acne and toxins. And, if you’re worried about the visible signs of aging, consider the benefits hibiscus and antioxidants will have in your diet – as they reverse the effects of aging in our bodies.
Rose petals were poetized in legends and have a long colourful history symbolising love, beauty and war. The beautiful thing about rose petals is they add fragrance and femininity to our MNB blend. As you sip, it fills you with a golden light and glow whilst stimulating and harmonizing the immune system. The petals are known to cure stomach complaints and also IBS. Tea made of rose petals is perfect against colds and bronchitis. It is a nutritious drink as well; rose petals contain vitamin C, B vitamins, carotene, calcium, potassium, copper and vitamin K.
The peel of the orange gives the MNB blend a tangy citrus overtone to compliment the hibiscus. Orange peels are bursting with vitamin C and are a great immune booster. The antioxidants in oranges (especially vitamin C) fight against bronchitis, colds, flu and asthma. It also brings hydrating electrolytes, vitamins and minerals to the warm brew.
