How to make Hot Cross Bliss Balls
Makes 8-10
Prep time 10 minutes
Chill time 30 minutes in freezer
YOU WILL NEED:
1/2 cup macadamias
1/2 cup pecans or almonds
1/2 cup cashews
1 tablespoon cacao nibs
2 tablespoons sultanas
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon dried ginger
2 tablespoon cacao butter, melted
2 tablespoons honey or rice syrup
Pinch of Himalayan salt
Cashew Cream Crosses
1/2 cup cashews
1/3 cup water
1 tablespoon cacao butter, melted
Preheat oven to 150C and roast nuts for 10 minutes. Place roasted nuts in food processor and pulse to breadcrumb consistency. Add in remaining ingredients and pulse to combine. (Don’t over process or mixture will split).
Make 2 tablespoon sized balls and place in a container to chill while you make the cashew sauce.
To make cashew sauce blend water and cashews in blender or Nutri bullet until super smooth. Add in cacao butter and combine. Use a piping bag to make crosses on balls. Chill for 30 minutes in freezer.
Notes: you can swap pecans with almonds and coconut oil for cacao butter
If you’re anything like us, you’ll use any excuse to continue eating these sweet snacks all year round, so why not try dipping half of each bliss ball into the cashew cream for a different look without the cross?
