Hands up how many of you have ever wanted to do a cleanse, but don’t really know what you’re getting yourself into? Well lucky for you, we’ve done plenty of cleanses in our time (ahhh the things you do in the name of research) which you can read about here and here, but in our experience none are quite as good as our 3-Day Cleanse Program! Unlike juice and soup cleanses, our 3-day cleanse is chock full of nutrient rich food that won’t leave you feeling hungry or deprived. Between the delicious meals and satisfying snacks, you’ll find it hard to believe you’re even on a cleanse. But don’t just take our word for it… we got a rundown from one of our beautiful readers who documented her 3-Day Cleanse Experience and loved every minute of it! Thomia Sipidias was kind enough to share it with you too…
What was your reason for wanting to do a cleanse?
My New Years resolutions included healthy eating, alcohol/diet drink free till the end of February and fitness sessions 5 times a week with a cleanse every few weeks.
Out of ALL the cleanses available, what made you decide to do the MNB cleanse?
A friend recommended I download the MNB cleanse. I was apprehensive at first but as soon as Iooked though what was involved plus the amazing images and the layout, with the added ease of a shopping list, I was sold.
Had you done a cleanse before?
I had never done a cleanse before as every cleanse that I’ve looked at in the past involved only drinking juices, which doesn’t appeal to me. I’m a chewing, crunching and munching kind of girl :)
Did you have any concerns/expectations going into the cleanse?
I was worried that there might not be enough food for me and I was worried my energy levels might be depleted by not enough fuel/food.
What were your energy levels like before you did the cleanse?
I started the cleanse on a Monday and the weekend prior I would say my energy levels where quite low.
Did you find the recipes easy to make?
So easy! My hubby joined me so I was prepping double for me and him and it was a little time consuming as I was prepping wake-up tonics, breakfasts, lunches and snacks ready the night before for him to take to work with him. The grocery shopping was probably the most time consuming though but I can now reuse what I have left over to re-make some of the meals. We had the strawberry smoothie again for breakfast this morning and there were heaps of detox cookies and lentil patties left over for later in the week too. I thought I was a good healthy cook but have learnt so much from doing this cleanse, I loved it in so many ways!
Did you ever feel hungry or unsatisfied?
The only time I felt hungry was the first morning but the green board for lunch, but the salmon for dinner made up for it.
What was your favourite meal and why?
Hard questions… okay it would have to be the the creamy pea and asparagus quinoa risotto. Unfortunately, Couldn’t find broad beans anywhere and I was a bit weary of this meal but wow it was surprisingly good! Quote hubby, “I don’t’ know what I was eating but it tasted great!” funny man. Will be remaking this again soon.
Would you do it again?
Doing it again in February, 18th-20th!!
Do you feel like it served its purpose?
My energy levels and moods were through the roof! My tummy was happy too, no bloating at all and it regulated some issues too…
What would you say to people wanting to give it a go?
I’ve been recommending it to anyone who will listen! I’ve told all my clients (I’m a personal trainer) and friends they need to down load this cleanse. No word of a lie!
My good friends who know me well are surprised that I’m recommending/did a cleanse but when I explain that this is a reaslitic, eating, crunching, food cleanse they understand why I’m so passionate about it
Ps. Lemon juice and ginger wake up for us every morning now!
