MOVE: How do I make time to find my MOVE everyday?

 I believe planning ahead is a big part of any successful journey.

Before the start of each week it is important for me to have a visual of when I am going to commit to my MOVE time. My diary has everything important scheduled in there from my weekly clients, meetings and events, to my scheduled MOVE for the week!

Once I have established when and how long I have to MOVE each day, I can then plan what my workout time will consist of.

Using this method leaves no room for excuses! Only have 30 minutes of time this Thursday? Easy As! I can plan ahead to do a quick, at home circuit so I know that I can make time for it.

NOURISH: What does a day on a plate look like for Alice?

A week on a plate could be close to a small book! I mix up my food every day but I stick to a basic pattern, which revolves around getting my standard lean proteins, good carbohydrates and vegetables in at lunch and dinner. Always starting the day with a good breakfast, and healthy snacking to suit what my daily schedule looks like. My average day may look  something like below:

Breakfast:

-Oats 40g

-Almond milk

-Fresh berries

-Tsp. of honey

Snack 1:

-4 x Rice Cakes

-Tuna

-Avocado

-Tomato

-Spinach

Lunch: I get some main meals prepped by Easy Life Meals (A healthy food preparation business) this is usually something like Peri -peri chicken with rice or sweet potato and Green Veggies.

Snack 2:

  • Chobani Yoghurt
  • Mixed nuts

Post Workout Shake: I love my smoothies immediately after training! One of my favourites would be:

  • 1 x Banana,
  • 1 x scoop of Chocolate Protein
  • Almond Milk
  • Natural peanut Butter

Dinner: Chicken or Beef stir-fry with lots of vegetables served with rice

How important is nourishing for you?

Nourishing to me is the most important part to my daily routine! With a proper intake of good nutritious food, I can think clearly and feel on top of my workload, I can train properly and really push the limits while still recovering enough to go about my daily routines.

Nourishing is important to keep the body in a healthy state. I think too many people can see food as the devil, especially women who are conscious of their weight or trying to trim down. I always remind my clients that the more nutritious food you can get in while reaching your body goals, the better!

How do you stay motivated to be your best everyday?

There are so many things that I practice each day to keep myself motivated to be the best I can be! A few include, always writing down my goals and keeping them visible each day to remind myself of what I am working towards.

Surrounding myself with friends and family who are supportive and positive is important. Be around those who motivate you to be the best person you can be. (Thanks LJC for the motivation!)

It is also important for me to remember to keep the balance in my lifestyle by having some down time every now and again. I use this time to un-wind and think with a clear mind about how everything is going. I love getting a massage or going for a long walk in this time!

I find it is also important to take time to be social and understand what some of the people around you are going through in life. It’s great to get out of your own head and hear other people’s perspectives on life, especially if you are someone who lives a busy lifestyle. To me, it reminds me to take a step back, enjoy and be thankful for the small things along the way.
