She’s so active… how does she do it?
In a bid to bump the seasonal blues and get on-track with a new and improved workout routine, we delve into some of the habits of highly active people. Get inspired to be one of them with these healthy hacks.
Here’s what we found out about some of the most active people we know …
#1 They GET UP EARLY and start the day straight away
Sorry to say it, but the most active people are generally the ones who jump-start each day by literally jumping out of bed and straight into a workout. Whether it’s as simple as a morning walk, some light stretching or a full-on pump class, those who make an effort to get active first thing are the ones who get active the MOST.
#2 They are driven by FEARLESSNESS not feelings
Active people don’t let their emotions get in the way of exercise. Feeling down? Time to get up and sweat it out. Staying on the couch or under the doona isn’t going help anyone. In fact, the more you put-off your workouts, the worse you will feel. It’s time to get cracking, and it all starts with YOU. #YouGotThis!
#3 They know how and when to REST
Rest days are a THING. It’s an actual day dedicated to, yep you guessed it, RESTING. Rest days are all about respecting your body and giving it an opportunity to repair, restore and recover. Never allow yourself feel guilty on your rest days, you have worked hard and you deserve it!
#4 They set GOALS and track their PROGRESS
Active people love to set goals because they love to feel a sense of accomplishment when they achieve them. Workout done, high five to ME! No goals = no feeling of success = no motivation to smash your next workout. So ask yourself – what are your workout goals?
#5 They MIX UP their physical activities to keep it exciting
No matter how much you love running, sometimes you just run out of inspiration to keep at it. One of the best habits of highly active people is mixing up their workouts to stay motivated, energised and excited. One of the biggest bonuses of this habit it that the muscles in your body will also respond better when your workouts are varied.
