On the sixth day of Christmas Team MNB gave to me… Summer Spritzers that are perfect to sip around the tree!
The silly season is well and truly underway and we all know how easy it can be to overindulge… But this Christmas we’ve got your drinks covered with these healthy and hydrating recipes that we guarantee will be a hit in every household!
Mineral water is a great base for spritzers as it contains naturally occurring essential minerals such as iron, calcium and magnesium with no sugar or unwanted calories. Sparkling mineral water simply contains natural gases, or has been carbonated by pumping carbon dioxide through it.
Each recipe makes 1 glass, so simply quadruple the ingredients to make a big jug for Christmas day!
Sparkling pineapple, passionfruit and mint punch
- 2 small pieces of pineapple, chopped into cubes
- 1 passionfruit with pulp removed
- 3 sprigs of fresh mint
- 1 cup mineral water
Blueberry and lavender cooler
- ½ cup blueberries
- 2 stalks of fresh lavender
- 1 cup mineral water
Pomegranate and rosemary iced tea fizz
- ½ pomegranate, arils (seeds) removed
- 3 sprigs of rosemary
- 1 cup mineral water
How to make it:
- Add ingredients for your chosen spritzer into a jug and lightly muddle the mixture to release some of the juices from the fruits and herbs.
- Place jug in the fridge for a few hours to let the flavours meddle.
- Remove from the fridge, pour into glass and enjoy!
