First it was buttery cinema popcorn we fell for, then the sweet and salty air popped style swooped in and stole our hearts, and now we’re falling for someone new all over again… someone completely unexpected. Cauliflower Popcorn. While at it may sound like an unlikely contender, if we can give you one word of advice, it’s don’t knock it ’til you try it. These bite sized bursts of bliss will change the way you think about Cauliflower forever.
You will need:
1 small head of cauliflower
1 tablespoon coconut oil (or butter), melted
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast flakes (available in health food stores)
1 pinch Himalayan rock salt
1 pinch dried chilli flakes
What to do:
1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2. Cut the cauliflower into florets
3. Toss all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and lay on a baking tray, bake for around 20 minutes, until golden and a little bit crisp.
4. Serve and see how far into the movie you can make it last!
