Chocolate Avocado Mousse

While at first avocado and chocolate might not seem like the most compatible couple, after multiple taste tests, we can assure you that this fairly odd couple is in fact a match made in healthy heaven. The concept of combining sweet and savoury is fast gaining popularity, and the combination of creamy avocado mixed with smooth chocolate is definitely something you’ll want to get on board with. The perfect breakfast, dessert or even snack, this chocolate avocado mousse courtesy of our friends at Oh My Goodness will seriously satisfy.  

Chocolate Avocado Mousse 


You will need:

1 large avocado
1/4 cup raw cacao powder 
1/4 cup coconut cream
2 tbs rice malt syrup (could substitute for honey or sweetener of choice) 
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch sea salt

What to do:
1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and blend with a hand held blender until you get a smooth and creamy texture. Taste and adjust the flavour if you need to.

2. Serve with fresh berries – pomegranate, shredded coconut and buckwheat would go well with this too.
