Walk on your lunch break
It doesn’t have to be a sweaty sprint, but a 20-minute powerwalk around the block will do the world of good not only for your body, but for your mind too. What’s more, that quick hit of vitamin D will help you power through a productive afternoon back in the office. Win win.
Pick an activity you like
It sounds like a no brainer, but you’re far more likely to stick to an exercise regime you enjoy, so don’t set yourself up for failure by promising you’ll go for a run every night if you hate running. Stick to what you enjoy and it won’t feel like a chore.
Mix up your social catch-ups
Instead of catching up with your girlfriends over lunch or dinner, why not lace up, grab a take away coffee and head off on a 5km talk? Get your steps, heart rate and gossip quota up, all the while saving some coin (to splurge on new activewear of course).
Set yourself MNB intentions every morning
Setting Move Nourish Believe intentions every day is one of the tricks our leading lady Lorna Jane Clarkson absolutely swears by, and is a non-negotiable part of her daily ritual. Whether your move intention is to run one kilometer further, do an extra set of push-ups or squeeze in an extra yoga class, setting daily intentions is a sure-fire way to hold yourself accountable.
Change the way you move
One of the keys to creating, and, in turn, sustaining a regular move routine is to incorporate equal parts strength, cardio and flexibility.. Not only will this stop you from getting bored and throwing in the towel, but it will also help prevent injury and get you looking as good as you feel.
