Well friends, it’s been a long time coming, but at long last the campaign we’ve been losing our minds about (in a good way of course) is finally here… Game Changer! It’s far from a secret that we’re forever inspired by strong women (how can we not be with a fearless leader like Lorna Jane Clarkson?) So this month we’re profiling Game Changing women who are thinking differently and taking risks to make their wildest and most audacious dreams happen! Why? In a bid to empower YOU, our beautiful readers, to take control and be a Game Changer in your own life! Whether it’s your career, your health and fitness or even your social life you want to make a difference in, YOU have the power to create your very own little ding in the universe. What do you want yours to look like?
Here’s our Game Changer checklist to help get you started!
It’s a strange concept to grasp, but it really is the only way to grow. Body builders certainly don’t develop strength and muscle by training in an easy range. Being brave enough to take on things that challenge you (both physically and emotionally) will make you stronger than you ever could have possibly imagined! So the next time you feel like you’re going to collapse in a workout, go for one more set of reps… because the pain today is the power tomorrow.
When you stop cluttering your head and comparing yourself to what everyone around you is doing, you’ll have so much more room for innovative and out-of-the-box ideas to bloom. Whether we like to believe it or not, it’s easy to be unintentionally influenced by what everyone around us is doing and that includes the way we think. So the next time everyone is looking left, be brave enough to stand away from the pack and look right… you’ll be lucky enough to see something that no one else has!
Every day will be fraught with its own set of challenges, but instead of focusing on the hard part and succumbing to defeat, channel your energy and resources into the bigger picture and remember WHY you’re doing what you’re doing. When there’s purpose to what you’e doing, it will give you the strength and determination you need to leap over the obstacles.
No matter how big or crazy your idea is, the only person whose opinion truly matters is yours. Did you know that Walt Disney got fired from a newspaper because according to his Editor, his ideas “lacked imagination”. Moral of the story? Always have your own back and believe in your crazy ideas even if no one else does.
Do you know the best thing about mistakes? EVERYONE makes them! Find the lesson in whatever happened and move on, you don’t need that negative baggage weighing you down when you’re trying to move forward… Concentrate on celebrating your wins and achievements knowing that they’re the things that will propel you forward.
