DIYbodyscrub_content_03Pick a bouquet of your fave roses. We fell in love with the colour of this bunch!

DIYbodyscrub_content_04First things first, scoop a rather large dollop of coconut oil and place in the bottom of the jar. Oh and don’t forget to moisturise while you are at it.

DIYbodyscrub_content_05Now for the pretty placing of petals time. Pluck the rose petals and place on top of coconut oil. Try not to recite, “He loves me, He loves me not”.

DIYbodyscrub_content_06Now for the exfoliating component. Pour over the petals & try and keep the layers even.

DIYbodyscrub_content_07Pour the almond oil on top & pair it with a few drops of your essential oil (if you choose).

DIYbodyscrub_content_08Voila. A natural rose & coconut body scrub done in minutes. No appointment at the day spa required. This DIY makes for the perfect gift idea, and just in time for Mother’s Day!

      Hi Angela,

Our jar was about 500g – but you can use any size (an old jam jar is perfect for this recipe).

We use our scrub right up until the rose petals go discoloured. For us, this was a week.

If you want the scrub to last a little longer, leave out the rose petals. This scrub will last months if so.

You can also mix up the essential oils or use rose water to add your own personal touch.

Same Question as Angela – How long will this stay good for? Is it going to be okay to just be used on occasion over a few months or does it need to be used quickly?
